Hello! My name is Casey Rodgers, and I’m a Civil Engineering (CE) PhD student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). My specialization is in Structural Engineering, and my current research involves a combination of computer graphics, computer vision, and machine learning in the context of structural health monitoring, digital twins, disaster response & management, and engineering education.

Outside of school, I really enjoy computer science (hence the minor and many courses in grad school), drawing, 3D art, reading, writing, animation, game development, and playing video games.

I absolutely love learning! One of my favorite things is thinking of an idea, researching how to make it happen, designing it, and creating it. As a result, many of my projects are random cool things I just decided to do.

My dream job is to combine my passion for computer science with my passion for physics and civil engineering, whether in academia, a video game company, or a civil engineering firm.
